EFT: Sehkar does a great impersonation of MGR

Sehkar does a great impersonation of MGR at EFT class

For all of you young people out there who are completely ignorant of Tamil Indian movies, MGR was a famous Indian actor who used to make grown Indian women swoon. With a handle bar moustache his highly visible trademark, MGR romanced the leading actresses of his day.

Master Sehkar, minus the handlebar moustache facilitated an EFT class two Saturdays ago. If you take a close look and visualize a handle bar moustache, he looks amazingly like MGR. Whether he has the same hypnotic effect on women is I suppose open to debate. Over a jug of beer though, the truth may be dislodged more willingly.

On that Saturday though, Master Sehkar, a very close friend and healing companion, used his eloquent skills to conduct a class on EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique for a small group of students at Khoracle.

EFT is like acupuncture, only this time, instead of using needles, you use your fingers on the important meridian points. I too attended since I had heard so much about it but had never learned the skill.

And it was a very interesting session. I had no idea it was so simple to learn and apply. The morning breezed rather quickly for the group as the demonstrations were so simple even a six year-old could do it.

In the group, we had eleven year-old Natasha. And she was annoyed with Dad for not buying her ice cream one day. So the group worked on Natasha’s annoyance at her Dad for not buying ice cream.

Sehkar shared an interesting observation. Natasha’s annoyance with her Dad for not buying her ice cream may just be the tip of the emotional iceberg.

There may be more anger brewing beneath the surface based on previous confrontations hidden away in the subconscious.

But, by applying the EFT technique, Sehkar said, we were not just clearing the tree but also the forest. That was important to know as the subconscious retained a lot of suppressed anger. And as we all know suppressed anger eventually leads to emotional dysfunction and illnesses.

As we moved on, I volunteered a healing problem for the entire group. I had received a request from some friends in the Philippines to help a colleague called Joyce who had been hospitalised for a week due to an airborne virus.

The group most graciously agreed to work together on Joyce and Sehkar taught us the method to heal Joyce from a distance. Joey from the Philippines text’d us the next day to thank all of us for the distance healing and said that Joyce was improving.

I went to the website of Gary Craig, the modern day founder of Emotional Freedom Technique and I was amazed at the healing possibilities. With EFT, you can stop addictions like smoking and anorexia. You can help to manage serious illnesses. You can treat uncontrollable fears, depressions, traumas as well as sexual issues. You can improve your mental and physical performance in learning and physical education. Just type Gary Craig EFT and you will get to his website immediately.

Sehkar will be conducting a hands-on EFT workshops once every two months at Khoracle and if anyone is interested, please call Letchumi at 03 80606970 or email us at khoracle@gmail to register for the next workshop. I will try and persuade Sehkar to grow a handlebar moustache. That might make the older ladies in our workshops pay more attention. Hmmm, then again, they might not.
